I
believe that every child will be somehow first is to rule the world as what
this quotation says that “Give me an infants, well informed, and my own
specified world to bring them up in and I’ll guarantee to take anyone at random
and train him to become any type of specialist I might select- doctor, lawyer,
artist, merchant-chief; and yes, even beggar-man and thief, regardless of his
talents, penchants, tendencies, abilities, vocations, and race of his
ancestors”- Watson. Totally, we cannot predict the future but there’s one
thing for sure every child has its own destiny with regards to the future.
Whatever the child will become in the future he/she will always be a member of
the society and he/she can rule the world whatever work he/she have. Even a
vendor is a work for it is a noble and can be shows to the world. Second, they
should not be deprived when they wanted to play as what William Thackerey
quoted that “Life is what you make it”. Every child wants to play then
you should have allowed them but with limitations and not totally depriving
them because playing is what a child thinks that it’s life. And third, a child
should feel that he/she is loved by the person around him/her as what a quote
in procetiveparenting.net Sharon
Silver says that “The way
to see how wonderfully your child is behaving is to see how he/she is behaving
in school, at church, or at a friend’s house. Kids are supposed to misbehave at
home, that’s where they feel safe”. Every child has different characteristics
and behaviors, for them to feel that they are important they need understanding
from adults and so, adults should know how to control their patience because
they first know that a child is very nagger.
According to Joyce A. Myers
“Teacher can change lives with just the right mix of chalk and challenges”. We
occasionally heard this line in our daily living, “Nurses, Lawyers and Doctors
are none if there was none teacher in the first place”. So, it’s clearly and
justifiably that a teacher is an agent of change because he/she makes an
ordinary person becomes extra-ordinary. Teaching is a profession that creates
another profession. Second, a teacher should build a good relationship to
others especially to his/her students and co-teachers. As what written in The
Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers Article XI Section 2 The Teacher as a
Person stated therein, “a teacher shall place premium upon self-respect and
self-discipline as the principle of personal behavior in all relationships with
others and in all situations”. And third, a teacher should be one of God’s
servant to make the students live morally, intellectually and spiritually as
what stated also in The Code of Ethics for Professional Teacher Article XI
Section 4 says that “A teacher shall always recognize the almighty God or being
as a guide of his own destiny and of the destinies of men and nations”. In
the eyes of the students and almost of the population sees that the teacher is
perfect and can be trusted- a very wonderful feeling that the public purely
trusted the teachers so we should not waste and be proud of it.
For me, being one of the teachers
soon, I believe that my task as a teacher is first, to shape the children for
becoming a total person. As what stated in The Code of Ethics for
Professional Teachers Article VIII Section 2- A Teacher and a Student has said
that “A teacher shall recognize that the interest and welfare of learners are
his first and foremost concern, and shall handle each learner justly and
impartially.” And so, I will not discriminate my with what talents and
skills do they have. Second, I will equally and justifiably give grades to my
students as what also stated in The Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers
Article VIII Section 6 stated that “A teacher shall base the evaluation of the
learner’s work on merit and qualify of academic performance.” As a teacher
someday, I will give the students a grade based on their performances with no
other bases. Lastly, my task as a teacher is to understand the different personality
of my students and I should make a way on how to handle them. Okay, when we
talk about personality in a relation to this, we can also talk about cultural
diversity. Multicultural Diversity: A challenged to global teachers.
Diversity or differences among students have placed greater demands to teachers
in today’s schools. Students may differ in race which is commonly indicated by
the color of skin. (Book: The Teaching Profession, Purita P. Bilbao, Ed.D,
Brenda B. Corpuz Ph. D) Different cultures have different traditions and
probably having different characteristics and personality. So, as a teacher it
is my task to know first my students and after I will then make a way or
strategies on how to handle them. I will teach them fairly. I will assure that
everyone can feel that they are part of the classroom.
